My family is part Ethiopian, and part Scandinavian; this project ties two classic kinds of pottery from each culture together. A jebena, an Ethiopian coffee pot; and plates painted in a rosemaling pattern, a Scandinavian design.
Made with earthenware clay, underglaze, and clear glaze in the Spring of 2021.
